Verdict

ALICIA DARCY was a beaten favourite in a seller on her most recent start at Beverley, but she has joined the Archie Watson stable since and could take a step forward on her recent form. Stallone arrives on the back of success at Nottingham on Thursday and merits respect under a 6lb penalty, while Jungle Juice could land a blow based on her Lingfield third earlier in the month.

Verdict

An ordinary handicap in which it could pay to take a chance on ALICIA DARCY, who has joined a yard that continues to go from strength to strength. Stallone is respected under a penalty, while Jungle Juice is also fancied to go well.

Lightly-raced maiden. 33/1, eighth of 11 in handicap at this C&D (good to firm) 22 days ago, left poorly placed. Needs a couple of these to falter.

Verdict

YELLOW LABEL showed improved form on his handicap debut over C&D at the end of last month and Andrew Balding's gelding has the potential to progress further in this sphere. Cambric makes a fair amount of appeal as she steps up in distance on her first outing in a handicap, while the consistent Mongolia could find more in first-time blinkers.

Verdict

Andrew Balding's YELLOW LABEL is the selection after creating a good impression here 22 days ago. He showed improved form over the 2f longer trip and is taken to go a couple of places better. Robert Fitzroy is also progressing with each run this year so is a likely danger, along with the Richard Hannon-trained pair Mongolia and Purbeck Hills in what looks an open contest.

Mastercraftsman filly. Sister to 11.6f winner Star Maker. Promising type. 50/1, sixth of 14 in minor event at Sandown (10f, good to firm) on debut 17 days ago. The one to beat.

Verdict

TRIBAL CRAFT put in an encouraging effort when staying on to finish sixth on her debut at Sandown late last month and she could be hard to beat with that experience now under her belt. Mina Vagante and Tatweej have similar profiles to the selection and they also merit places on the shortlist. Jomrok is a half-sister to a pair of black-type performers and she is the pick of the newcomers.

Verdict

TRIBAL CRAFT showed enough on debut to suggest a race of this nature will be within her compass, and she gets the nod ahead of newcomer Jomrok and the once-raced Eagle Queen.

Verdict

Praxeology got off the mark at Ripon 10 days ago and he has to be given the utmost respect, despite having to carry a 5lb penalty for that victory. That said, preference is for FORBIDDEN LAND, who was an eye-catching second to a useful prospect on his debut at York last month. If the son of Acclamation improves for that experience he should take plenty of beating in this contest. Any market support for Dark Moonlight or Wightman would have to be noted.

Verdict

This may develop into a straight fight between PRAXEOLOGY and Forbidden Land, with the vote going to the former who can improve again to defy a penalty.

Verdict

SNAZZY JAZZY won the Ayr Silver Cup on bottomless ground last season and ended his three-year-old campaign by landing a soft-ground 6f Group 3 in France in October. He shaped encouragingly on his seasonal bow behind Safe Voyage over 7f at Haydock and could appreciate the drop back to 6f today. Arbalet and Emaraaty Ana are feared most on these terms, though both may ideally prefer faster conditions.

Verdict

None of these can be ruled out but ARCHER'S DREAM made it 2 from 2 in impressive fashion when beating a subsequent winner at Yarmouth and can take this step up in class in her stride. Snazzy Jazzy is feared most despite his penalty.

Promise when third on second of 3 outings as a juvenile. Switches to handicap company on return with her yard in good form. Potential for better and would enter the reckoning if market vibes strong.

Verdict

DASHED broke her maiden over this trip in a soft-ground novice contest at Redcar last season and she's improved with each of her three outings this term, most recently landing the silver medal off 1lb lower at Lingfield last month. Another bold bid from her likely beckons, though any money for returning Ralph Beckett inmate Wild Abandon on her handicap debut would be notable and a first-time hood could elicit improvement from Daddy's Daughter.

Verdict

DASHED was beaten favourite last time but she did go down only to a progressive sort from a leading yard and is worth another chance. The thriving Chica de La Noche rates an obvious danger, while Wild Abandon is a possible improver now switching her attention to handicaps after a break.

Verdict

PADDY POWER justified favouritism over 6f at Goodwood when last sighted and Richard Fahey's versatile performer, who is also proven over 5f, is expected to follow up off this 4lb higher mark. Boom The Groom commands respect now dropped in grade after finishing eighth in the Epsom Dash, while Youkan ran a mighty race after fluffing his lines at the start at Goodwood last weekend and could figure if now breaking on terms.

Verdict

PETTOCHSIDE (engaged at Sandown on Saturday) continues to fall in the weights and could be worth chancing having shown a bit more at Lingfield last time. The in-form Paddy Power is the obvious threat.
